If this rig is all it's cracked up to be, that's a great deal... Good diesels from Canada are becoming harder to find and more expensive every year, because all of us in the US are buying them up...
Being over 25 years old, this import should be a slam dunk...
I'd suggest contacting a good Registered Importer (RI) and find out the details, but I'd guess the "import cost" would be less than $1000. I'd highly recommend the RI that I used bringing in my less than 25-year old HJ60...

I worked with Susan there, and they were very knowledgeable and cost-effective (only about $400 for their services, probably less on on a 25yr+ truck...)
On top of the RI costs, you'd have shipping or fly-up/drive-back costs (probably less than $1000 either way), and the normal "tax/title/reg" costs wherever you register it... As for this last step, CARCO actually set up to get a "US title" for me as part of their process... It was from a dealer in Illinois, so when I took it to Arizona's MVD, the titling/registration was just a state-to-state title change to them... took 20 minutes total.

Anyway, if it didn't mean trying to explain to the wife yet another mysterious trip to Canada with $10K, and returning with another diesel "beast", I'd be all over this opportunity.
Go Diesel!
