With the rear tail lights removed, should the front turn signals still operate when engaged?

My parking lights will come on, but the turn signals will not blink.

I'm 6000 miles away from the rig currently, so of anyone knows if you need the rear lights installed to complete the circuit, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, without the tail lights fitted, there isn't enough current flowing in the circuit to operate the flasher so they won't work.

If you need to make them work, you'll need to add more load to the circuit - you could do this by putting the 21W rear bulbs in the front side position (each front indicator has two bulbs - 21w and 5w from memory). Make it 2x21w and you should be good as a temporary fix.

Not sure why you'd want to do that but ok.

Thanks 45! That is reassuring to read from 6k miles away from the old girl.

The rig is on the East Coast tucked away in a garage. I'm in Hawai'i.
