A440F made by Aisin. Its used on other toyotas but only those made for the B engines are interchangeable with yours without modification.

Thank you both Rosco and TlcCruiserman!!.....

I have to change my 13BT due a "heat problem" in the Cylinder block....but I got a spare 13BT engine with mechanical gear box....so I am tryng to figure out if I will be able to keep my atm box or need to adpat the mechanical one......

As a B plan I have the chance for swaping the 13BT to an 1UZFE with an A 341E atm gear box......I think it would be a nice upgrade but as you can imagine a lot and "dramatic" work and also quite expensive......ufff so much suffering with our toys!!!

Any thought about the swap you want to share is welcome...

Saludos

whright Tlc...the A341E is a 2wd....will see how stong is...:)

On the other hand, do yo know what model is the mechanical gear box of the 13BT engine year 1989? ....(as you said the atm is the A440F)

saludos

the Manual gear box for a 1989 BJ74 with a 13BT is the H55F - 5 speed manual gearbox with the same split case behind it that the A440F has on it. the spline count will be different than the H55F for diesel than H55F that are used with the gassers, I believe it is course spline instead of fine spline.

Cheers,

Michael
