Geez that was fast thanks POSER:)
I was thinking of putting a aussie up front,in this case maybe not.

Aussie up front with coarse splines=Busted birf. Ask me how I know. Get some Longfields and the Aussie. I have that combo and love it.

So i guess i would have to do the mini-truck 79-85 conversion to add the longfields and at the same time gain disc brakes.Or can i just upgrade the birfields to a fine spline with the existing set- up? and then add the aussie.

You cannot use disc brake birfs/Longfields with US pre-08/76 drum brake spindles/wheel bearing hubs, etc. You must convert to disc brake components from a Mini, or preferably, from a 60 series, as they have larger, vented rotors.

Lots of reading in the FAQ on this topic.
