I have had several birds this year attacking my trucks / themselves in their reflection. Everything from Mocking / Cardinal / Blue Jays. They are attacking the mirrors / chrome / anything shiney on my trucks. At the beginning of the year i actually put an old FJ62 out there for them to do this on, but there are too many of them and they are now attacking all my trucks i got outside, which is about 7 right now. They are even doing this on my chrome trailer rims. :bang: :bang:

I have tried the alunimum foil trick on the windows taped to it, and have put other used mirrors out there for them to go wild on, but they just keep going no matter what i have tried this year. :bang: :bang: :bang:

They are now starting to tear up the paint on my trucks with their beaks, so it time for this to stop. I have shot / hit them with a BB gun and am now getting ready to try and find a claymore to get rid of them.

Not trying to hurt them by any means but want them gone.

Thought has crossed my mind a few times already, but too much to paint on the wife Sierra and my Ram.

In time, their little swolen spingtime testies will settle down back to normal.

This s*** started in Feb and i thought it would of ended by now, as it has ended by now usually, but this year it is still going strong and showing no signs of letting up.

Just hoping there was something else i could try, besides putting car covers on every night . Not too bad for me, but not so good for the wife.

So, did some research and it seems everyone out there recomends rubber snakes, which makes sense. So wife is picking up some now on her way home and we shall see.

No go on the snakes. Even got some bright ones that could easily be seen also, and all the bird did was peck at them, move them out of his way and back to the chrome on the grill.

This may sound crazy, and look stupider than the birds, but mylar balloons do a good job at keeping birds scared away due to their movement in the wind. You can also buy acoustic devices that supposedly work.

Have other large mirrors hanging from the fence and still not working. Most of the birds are gone except for one cardinal. Anybody that comes over to the shop learns real fast to close all their windows after cleaning s*** out of their truck the first time though.
