Was ready to purchase 100 series pads to drop into my 91 but am hearing now this process(rotors calipers) is needed. Can someone confirm please

As of today, One of my 92s have OEM disc/caliper/pads, and the other 1992 got 93 disc/caliper/pads. The OEM performs way better than the modified. To me it was a waste of money and time. BTW, both are properly bled, just in case someone is going to tell me to bleed the modified...
