At the B n T meeting we discussed a Big Bear run for June 12-13. The next several weekends didn't look good because of Fathers Day, the swap meet, and 4th of July. We have about 4 people interested and are looking to camp on the trail. Anyone else interested?

Hey Mike-

Sorry I missed the meeting- I was too wiped out from the long weekend.

I may interested in running on Saturday with you guys. You planning on doing Gold Mountain- John Bull?

Tim:D

What runs are you guys planning? Are any of them doable on a 100?

Have to change my vote, may or may not be able to make it, have some family stuff I may have to take care of this weekend that came up, will be a day trip if I go, will let u guys know.

We didn't plan out the exact trails but I can see where 2 different runs at the same time might be best. We will leave from the park-n-ride at the 76 and 15 early Saturday morning. The rules for camping on the trail seem pretty simple - Adventure Pass, a permit for using a stove, no fires, camp away from roads and streams. Glad to see some more interest!!! I will post more info later on.

Sorry I missed the meeting I had to attend a dog and pony show for the grand opening of the resstaurant and sports complex I have been working on for 5 years. I would love to get back on the trail but unfortunately will be out of commision for the next month due to the Wife working 12 hour days at the Fair. I will be staying on the fairgrounds every weekend until July 4. But after that I will be up for a cool non desert trip. Maybe back up to the yellow post camp ground site we went to last year north of Anza for a overnighter.

YES- good spotters are nice on John Bull:D. dinged my brand new half door and ripped the muffler off on the first 1/2 mile up from the gatekeeper. But was a damn good time.

I am looking good to go for Saturday-will have to come back that evening -but always down for a good day on the trail.

It also may be good to set up a meeting place and time in Big Bear- like the discovery Center to accomodate those north of the 76/15. I would be going up from the Yucaipa side and would rather not have to travel an extra 30 miles south just to turn and head back north :D.

I plan to make this trip. What time is departure from Esco? Is anyone still planning to camp overnight?

Jump in with them, awesome group of folks...........just the trails get a little dusty.......

Let's meet at the park-in-ride at 76 and 15 at 7am Saturday. We could call Tim when we leave there and meet in Temecula. We should be at the Discovery Center by 10am so others could meet us there. I plan on camping overnight. We should get a head count so we know who to look for.

But they split the runs, usually less than 20 rigs per run, not sure if Holcomb Creek is open yet but with several runs plus some folks sleep after doing the Hammers all night.

Mike- I may be out for this weekend. :frown: Will advise by Friday.

Looks like the B n T guys are backing out and there is general lack of enthusiasm. I am making other plans for the weekend, maybe another time guys.
