It is my understanding Tufftorq has made arrangements for us to meet with USFS about an adopt a trail in the area. I know this date conflicts with our Coyote Lake trip, but thought it would help to post for those who did not make it to the meeting that there is another option for that weekend.
Obviously, since the USFS is interested in 'guaging' us as much as we are in 'guageing' them, it would look sad if only one or two rigs showed up. I WAS planning on attending the Coyote trip {I REAAAAALLLY WANT to go} but have a volleyball championship game Friday night, so I will be attending.
Although there has been minimal response (Phil A., Art, and myself) for club participation, this date was changed to Sunday 7/30. We will be meeting at the forest fire station adjacent to the Big Bear Discovery Center at 9:00. This is the only date that Greg was available until mid-September or October.
When did it become apparent that we were guaging each other? The hope behind adopt-a-trail is to work together with the USFS in an effort to keep our trails open, especially in the SBNF. And then perhaps do our part as a club with a little labor and a sense of ownership from Trail Crew in Big Bear. The cool part about it is, this trail was previously closed.
I certainly hope that this isn't the begining of a wedggy...

Not sure where that is. Still planning to go. Should I just drive up to Big Bear and look around and hope I find it, or you want to give a little bit more info.
