That's not a common size so you get a bad side wall you might be SOL without a proper spare because most shops won't have them. Any good tire's hop especially off-road places will have 33s and 35s in just about any wheels size. Odd size/lower production quantities also means higher price.

Why 34? The difference between 34/35 or 34/33 is inconsequential.

Tall and light. I like the idea of 255's but it looks too skinny. I believe the 10.5 comes close to 265. And the actual height is about 33.2 from what i have read so far. Very limited all terrains in the skinny 33 category. Im trying to be as close to stock as possible. Im planning on just ome stock height and those ko2 34s. Im using the cruiser as DD and occasional washboard trails.

Has anyone tried this tire here? If so what lift do you have? Will it fit stock height? Can you post some pics? Thanks.

34" BFG KM2 with 2.5 OME heavy. IMHO, anything more than 33", a 17" rim looks better. Yes 34" tire is only about $15-20 difference compare to 35". But the weight of 35" is heavy, my concern is rotational weight, and lifting the freaking thing by myself. Believe or not, I am getting between 15-17mpg, plus another ~8% odometer correction.

I tried. Havent seen one on an 80. I did not mean to offend anyone. Just saying i would like a slightly wider one but if i cant i would still go with 255. Sorry if i wasted your time.
Don't take it personally, people get all excited about questions that feel the answers should be found in other threads. It's not always that easy and if they don't want to read it they don't have to click and respond. So search and if can't find answers, ask away!

To each their own but if you look at the numbers the difference is quite small still. It's not a lot taller and it's not a lot lighter....if any. If it's your DD and occasionally dirt road then I say stick with stock tire's. Better in every way for your use case.

good question. You need a lift because your old suspension has had it. There's roll that makes you feel like you're in 4door '69 nova, bouncy like you're flicking quarters off your belly, you're so low to the ground you'll think they're looking at your new Oakleys but it's your receding hairline. You need to be higher up, anyone who's spent time in a Turkish prison will tell you the same. Go with what you like, but get the lift.

Ive see that 3 times also... hmm...

As For the KO2s they are an awesome tire, sidewalls are tough, good traction and quite. Can't go wrong with them in my opinion!

Just skip the 34" and go for the 315s and call it good!

yeah, I'm aware of this and while its a concern for sure I know people who have abused them with no problems. Not sure what to make of it??? On a 1 ton their side wall is soft for sure. Otherwise, great tire.

Purely from a traction tire / MT / AT perspective is what I'm talking about. Most people that buy the BFG's are trying to accomplish similar.

I've had these tires for six months now in 35's. They are a great tire in the snow, and very grippy offroad. Very little road noise.

Peterson 4hweel rated the duratracs a 4 while they rated the BFG's a 3. Again, on ice you can do better with the duratracs. I've had both and can confirm.

Run 315's and be done with it. I've installed them on an 80 with 250k with clapped out stock springs. Plenty of room. The tire guys were shocked.
