That thing gonna' be street legal Rich? If so, WOW!

I've got a license plate, windshield, lights, blinkers, horn, etc... It's a '73, so in 6 months I don't even have to worry about not having the safety inspection done... We'll see how much the rear steer wanders while I'm driving - that'll determine how far I'm willing to drive it.

But yeah, I really want to be able to drive this thing every now and again.. I think it'll be fun!

Flitcroft - congrats! The 25th is just after our 2-year anniversary...

thanks Rich, driving any cruiser (fj40) is a little scary. modded or not

Actually, driving the last iteration wasn't bad at all with the 101" WB, shackle reversal, & Bilsteins.. a real one handed affair once I sorted out the bent wheel problem. My wife could drive it with no problem. I just didn't have enough power to go over 45 or so if I wasn't running 30psi in the tires.. If I did pump them up it was fine, but running propane meant I had to make sure the tanks were full before I left.

I don't have either of those issues any more, but driveshaft balance will likely be my speed-limiting issue, since there are 3 shafts spinning now, and with 6.72 gearing, they're spinning FAST. (Used to be only a rear CV spinning at 1800 RPM at 50mph, now a rear non-CV and both front shafts spin at 2700rpm at 50 mph.. fortunately, there isn't much angle on them.)

Sorry, hijack off :o
