This a followup to my blower motor problem. I finally found out what was causing my blower motor not to turn on. The motor, AC control panel, fuses, resistor pack, transistor all checked out fine. Somehow water got into the AC amplifier and shorted part of the circuit board. Is there anyone on this site who is good with electronics and would be able to replace the burned out components? It seems there are a few resistors shorted out.
I am posting this because I would like to warn others of potential problems if they notice water in the foot well on driver side and passenger side. Prior to my blower motor not working, I noticed water in the driver side floor after a heavy rain (or due to melted snow) and I didn't think anything of it at the time. With hindsight, water must have flowed down from the sunroof or behind the front windshield and entered the AC amplifier and pooled inside of it. Thus causing a short in the amplifier.
If anyone has a spare AC amplifier or may have seen one at the junk yard, please let me know. The AC amplifier that is located on the right side of the driver side foot well behind the lower trim and heater vent. The box is about 4"x5" with 3 cable connectors with about 50+ pins in total. The amplifier is beige in color and the following markings appear: TOYOTA 88650-60212.
