At least its only gonna get used on the pass. It gets nasty up there and every idiot thinks that 65mph with a trailer on ice is OK. If you go over the pass just make sure you wash your rig within a reasonable amount of time. Now if they start using it in town I'm gonna start riding my bike to work or I'll stand in front of the salt truck a'la Tienanmen Square style. F-that!

Baby steps.. They always start in small little steps.. Kind of like they are shutting the public lands down- a little here and a little there.
It is actually good for the economy, kind of like cash for clunkers but not as obvious. MgCl2 now and we won't even know when they switch over the NaCl...
