What is the best paint protectant/wax or treatment process for a new FJCruiser? (off the boat yesterday - delivers Tuesday).

A friend asked me and I just don't know...

1st - I know its new but you should bust out a clay bar on it first. Then I would recommend either Meguirs or Poorboy products (you can only get them online though www.poorwoysworld.com) Poorboys can be applied in direct sunlight!

ZainoBros - show car polishes and holds up better than anything I've used - EVER. No lying, but people look at my 12 year old 80 and say no way, and it's got pin striping on it too! No affiliation, just very satisfied from their clay bar to their polishes. Follow their instructions.

Thanks for the input.

some nice alabama or georgia clay looks REAL good on an FJ....I HIGHLY recommend..in fact that's what I hear they are for...

Thanks - but I applied an arizona Texture Coat!

Will the Zaino help with keeping light scratches off the truck ? I just got all the scratches buffed out of the fj , and i'm thinking of trying the Zaino . Also can it be used on the black plastic pieces and could you guys post some photos ? Thanks

IIRC, Zaino does have a scratch remover in their line of products, but I've never used it to remove the pinstriping. No need on a 12 year old truck that I still get compliments on. I do attribute that to Zaino products and my anal retentive care of her.

What's wax?
