Hi,

I have to rerplace all 4 glow plugs in my 85 BJ70. I am in US. I know that Napa sells them ($25.00 each). Are there any other sources besides Napa that have better price?

Thanks,
Alex

I suppose you did a continuity check on each one. Seems odd that all four are gone.

Yes, disconnected the bus bar and checked continuity between the block and each plug. Couldn't read any resistance. They are good for temp. above 40 degrees. Even is one or two are defenetly bad, it's a good practice to replace all 4.

No resistance (continuity) is a good thing, it's the open circuit that is bad!

You can go to most any diesel shop and they can get the plugs for you. I paid about $25 Canadian for 'Denso plugs (exactly the same as the $75 Toyota ones) at the local diesel shop. He had them in a day.

I checked with the local diesel shop for 'Denso plugs' and was shocked when the guy quoted the price of $45.00 each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
