Where is the best place to get winch line in Edmonton as far as quality and price go. My buddy Kevin (Quaxy) needs some for his PTO winch cause it got mangled on the last run.

Steel or synthetic? I'm running the steel that came with my 8274, and hope to pick up a spare from someone switching to synthetic. Ratpuke was talking about getting some synthetic line for the FSJ bunch, not sure if she was talking a one time thing, or has a good contact for ongoing orders. If she has some to sell, I could bring it back to town in a couple weeks...

Pretty sure he just wants regular steel. Maybe he will chime in if he checks this section often.

I wonder if any of the 4x4 shops have take-offs from ones who go synthetic... I'd start with that, or one of the rigging companies, but I've never shopped for a line...

Hmm... maybe I will have to let him know. Don't know of any 4x4 shops in Edmonton other than 4wheel. I was wondering more on where to even find good cable. I was thinking a place like Titan supply but not sure.

i finally got my 8274 working and back on my 60'...i went to continental chain and rigging for my cable.they can make it up to any length you like.

7011 girard road...if you know where tonka 4x4 is,you can find them.continental is about 200 feet east of tonka on the same road.i don't recall price exactly, but i bought 150' of 3/8" galvanised with an eye swaged on one end for,i think,170 bucks or so.
they can make up cable on the same day if you get to them early.they also supply anything you like as far as clevis hooks shackles etc.they are a dealer for Crosby rigging equipment.

they also carry cheaper, fully tested overseas made stuff, but i pretty much only use crosby...

For our shop we use titan on 50 th street. They are pretty good to deal with. That line would be no problem. I have also re-cabled my quad winch at princess auto for next to nothing.
