LINUS
Waiting for the Great Pumpkin
.......... I use a home brew called Ed's Red. No test, but it does good as a penetrate and is great for gun cleaning and rust removal from older tools etc. ...and it's cheap.
EQUAL PARTS of the following:
A) Kerosene
B) ATF (Dexron 2, 2E or 3)
C) Acetone
D) Mineral Spirits
Minus the acetone we used to make the exact same stuff in the oil refinery for job prep/teardown.
We also cut Never-Sieze with enough WD-40 to make it refrigerated sour cream consistency (did it to both the aluminum & copper dust flavors) - so it both spread easy & you saw that it could “creep” by the telltale oil ring of WD on the edges where it spread a few days later from the brushed area.
