I have an EMS catback exhaust system with a brand new muffler sitting in my storage shed collecting dust. I'm in San Diego and I'd be willing to let it go cheap if you're interested.

Too much money for me especially since I am only into Over-landing trips and therefore the money would be better used for ME, to purchase an extra Jerry Can, Air Compressor, new offroad tires, etc. If I had that much money to spend on headers and install, at this point I would want to buy the Tent that rides and opens on top the LC. But those tents are amazing but $$$$ for my budget. I can't fit & sleep comfortably inside the LC. SO I will continue to work on improving my sleeping modifications/purchases to also making the LC better for over-landing trips. But I thank you guys again for all of your help. This is the best and only forum I use and is the best place for honest and experienced info!! I just want to make sure my LC doesn't break down or get stuck in the middle of no where w/ just my possible g/f and w/ my K9 Unit. LOL. I have modified the LC for OverLanding but any suggestions that other forum members swear by, that are something that most people don't know about or people don't use - please let me know. I read and copy others' modifications to their 100 series LC, b/c nothing is better than hands on experience from other Forum Members.
Sincerely,

I'd ask @DJCloz about his exhaust system. It sounds fantastic!

I installed the DT catback exhaust and it was the worst thing I did to my cruiser. I had to replace the muffler due to rust around the seams.
The original toyota resonator and cats were fine. Everything bolted up nicely except for the fact the DT had forgot to cut grooves into the female portion of the pipes, meaning the pipe would not compress when being clamped onto the male section. I called customer service and they literally told me to cut the grooves myself or take it to a muffler shop, and that they would not help me. It was easy enough to cut the grooves in, but was definitely disappointed with their customer service. That aside, installed everything and went on a test drive, i could not believe the amount of drone the exhaust created, anywhere from 2000-3000 rpm, to me, it was intolerable... my rear view mirror would vibrate, it was that bad.
I drove it around for a few days, then went to a muffler shop where I had them weld the stock resonator on. much better now. Still louder that stock but without the insane drone....
