I may be getting these two bumpers...either separate or at same time frame and wonder who might have the best deal overall....price+shipping....etc.

My first pick for front bumper is the Expedition One Trail Series DIAMOND style

For the rear bumper I am interested in what Expedition One is coming up with but not sure I want to wait...so the only other I really like is the WARN Off-road rear bumper with integral 2" receiver and recovery points.

This bumper will allow me to add Lucrums rear swing away tire and jerry can adapter later when I have more money...hahaha...but is a good solid start with good clearance and protection with the hitch.

I appreciate any help in pricing...I checked 4x4GroupBuy but the price was not that much less than retail unless the shipping is free then it is worth considering. Thanks again...and look forward to your responses.

I personally think the fab four is THE BEST looking front and rear bumper out there, bar none. Alas, the rear bumper is like 2500+$....but man..gorgeous pieces of art. Expeditions are pretty nifty too though :-D. That expedition almost makes it look like it puts a "grin" on the front of the FJ...pure evil.

yeah i thought it was not only functional but the look is bad azz :)

I actually like the All Pro bumper for back but not sure about all the fabbing required...need to read through their instructions again to see how I feel about it. The Warn I would need to drill for backup sensors...but it has the receiver and is a solid build with good departure angles it appears.

I have Expedition One front and rear bumpers and they are fantastic. Great approach and departure angles. I also likes the Piaa lights front and back as they help out on the trail and around town. And the pricing was very competitive. If your interested, you can see pictures on page 2 of this forum under Expedition One Rear bumper.

Another thought is to consider the weight of the bumpers, some are very heavy !! That effect your performance, suspension and balance.

You don't need to drill the WARN for the sensors. It is compatible without any drilling. I love my FabFours front end, but that Ex-1 looks pretty cool too. I didn't like the brush guard design at first, but it is growing on me. The WARN rear is a very good bumper. I've seen the AllPro in person, and it doesn't even come close. I've already ordered the lucrum swingout and whenever they finally ship it, i'll post some pics of the install. PM Mountainclimber about the place for the best price on the Warn. I know he told me he saw it really cheap somewhere. I got mine for about $750 but I don't remember where. If I find the receipt, I'll let you know.

That is the best looking front bumper that I have seen. About how much is it running?

where at?

my bad thought you were talking about the WARN still........WARN is $811 with free shipping at Amazon.

E1 I have not found for less than $1100............Demello is slightly less.

I was about to say. The only reason I'd recommend speaking the extra 200$ and getting the EX1 with the full brush-guard, is because I use my brush guard for seeing where the front of my vehicle is, since the bar sticks over. It can be you cars "antennas" for feel for how close you are too things. At least, that's what i use mine for :)

I recommend the brush guard too. I use mine for crashing through brush. It has actually saved me from damaging the hood and front panels before. Plus it looks badass and gives you the ability to mount extra lights and butterfly your winch cable if you are going to be using it frequently on a particular run.

Damage multipliers?

I know many people feel that brushguards & tail light guards are "damage multipliers" and I think in many case they're correct. But that's ussually in more significant collisions. In my one & only "mis-hap" with my TRD, my brushguard AND taillight guard on the drivers side prevented a lot of damage to my front bumper, hood and rear tail light.

Basically I slid down a mud-soaked hill helplessly tearing up turf & tombstones (yes, the hill was a graveyard) and a barbed wire fence "caught me" at the bottom of the hill. When I sidswiped a tree on the way down, the tail light guard bent, but didn't touch the lens (I did get a little rear QP damage). It took two trucks (one Chevy & one Toyota) and a tow truck to get us ALL out of that quagmire! All 4 of us were covered in MUD head to toe. Poor "John Cramer's" tombstone wasn't as luckly (may he rest in peace)!

So in my specific case they both protected well beyond their design limits.

I bumped a rock in moab with my ARB and it pushed up just below my turn signal put a good little dent in it
but after doing so im having second thoughts about putting a winch in the bumper in fear it might pull the bumper off or give it a good tweek.

I have been eyeing a rear Warn for sometime now.
One vendor on Ebay has one for $699+$40 shipping.
Cheapest I have seen it for.
I like Warn rear for several reasons.
1-keep back up sensor
2-keep stock hitch

I have All Pro front and rear bumpers. They are nice. Fairly easy to put on as long as you follow the instructions. The rear one is bit more work since you need to cut off part of the stock bumper and use the other part. They are pretty lite weight only about 65 lbs each. They also allow a you to go up and down steep inclines without hitting bumpers. They cost about $750.00 each but I got mine on sale for $600.00 each and they threw in the front light hoop and the rear trailer hitch. And they don`t look like a bumper that belongs on a tank.

I would agrea about the tank bit, I was torn between Expd. and All Pro. Definately happy I chose the All Pro so far a great produce, relatively light and still sturdy. The winch is pretty tight but that is one of the things I like about it, great approach angles have not had it touch anything yet.

The more tank-like the better IMO. I know that bolt on bush guards can be damage multipliers, but Bars that are welded onto steel after market bumpers definitely offer more protection. I had an accident where I hit a concrete lane divider (at highway speed) and spun into another car. My fault completely. The (FabFours) bumper took the full initial impact and the passenger corner of the brush guard took a solid whack too. Other than a scratched powdercoat, ZERO damage. The sliders took the brunt of the impact from the sedan I spun into and that prevented any major damage to the passenger side. So in my case, the brush bars prevented significant damage to the front end. The tail light guards are mostly for looks IMO. A look I like, by the way. I have the Manik guards.

It's all a roll of the dice once you're "out of control"!

But if we didn't get "out of control" now and then, we wouldn't know our limits! I'm still creeped out I destryed a tombstone however...and old one from the 1830's...that CAN'T be good karma!
