Just got a iPad for Christmas and thought I would never see a use for one since I have had a iPhone for a couple of years and have multiple laptops in the house. I definitely saw the platform as a niche device, but I was wrong and think it's a great product...when I can get it out of the family's hands.

So what other Aps are other mudders using and what are their functions?

My Favs:

FileBrowser - lets me view/access all files on my network
Paypal
Amazon
Words HD - Scrabble game
DirectTV - allows me to watch TV and recorded shows from my iPAd
Craigslist - query search for Craigslist
JeepForum - Forum for my son to learn about his jeep

I never liked the IH8MUD app, I always just used the webpage. I thought the app limited you too much.

Angry Birds, all three versions.
Fruit Ninja
Words with Friends

I have android devices, so I don't know what's out there for iOS. Search around on gizmodo.com as well as lifehacker.com for apps, they review quite a few of them.

the beauty of the MUD app is being able to take a picture of a rig on trail or about town and post it directly to mud without doing much of anything special.....

on my Droid (not Iphone but most apps are available for both) here are my favs:

ScoutLook- overhead imagery and scent cone dispersion for hunting

WeatherBug- for getting up to minute weather, wind and radar for hunting and fishing locations

Time2Hunt- hunting times by moon, sunrise, sunset, etc

Paddler Log- to log paddling trips

LaunchPoints from Austin Canoe and Kayak- shows launch points loaded by visitors to take your watercraft

IH8MUD- for posting pics to a specific thread during a club event

gStrings- tuner for my guitar....allows auto tuning of various string instruments, drop tuning, or manual with tones

Compass- pretty good compass app

Night Vision Camera- gives near NV capablity to camera phone at night in low light

eBay- to keep track of my purchases....LOL

Pandora- for music

You beat me to it on the mud app... best thing about it.... instant photo updates

I did not know you could do that with the mud app. I will have to re-investigate:D

MotionX HD, great topo and tracking app if you have a 3G version Ipad (need it for GPS, WiFi versions do not have GPS).
