very cool. So you have to build the stand for it? Make it hydralic or manual?

this is what it will go in, at least my version of it:

Tube and Pipe Benders

Pro tools has a free set of plans available for this bender, but their plans require a lot of machined aluminum bolted together. I am going to build a simpler steel version and weld it together. I like the vertical designs better because I don't really have the space to swing a manual bender in my 1.5 car garage. I can also store this in the corner when I'm not using it.

LOL, i was just eyeballing this this morning...
Mud Bogger Roll Cage Tube Bender

pardon my ignorance, but you're above pic... how does the hydralic jack bend anything if it's going up at that angle? It appears that it would just clamp it

the aluminum block sits on a roller and it moves forward with the tube as the bender die rotates. the pivot for the die is behind the center of the radius, I guess that it why it pushes it out instead of clamping.

this is the one that I was originally going to build:

but someone posted this die for a good price in the classifieds. If you are looking for a bender there was a guy selling a JD2 in the the mud classifieds in Anniston for cheap. I had made a deal to buy from him but he backed out and said he was going to sell it to his brother. I noticed that he called me the other day so he might have it back up for sale.
