Got Tee Boned leaving work Nov 1, His fault. Working 2nd shift, with insomnia doesnt allow me to do much during daylight before work. So Taco got Boned in pass rear axel. No cosmetic, just wheel and tire. Took to Lextech. Alignment is way off. 3 week wait till any of the 2 bodyshops can even get it on frame machine. His insurance already wrote me check for cosmetic damage. /me rolls eyes

Now insomnia even worse with daily drive down, and what make come if its totaled. SCer and all the mods down the drain if they total.

Been driving the TLC... 9MPG /MRE... and more crap to carry to work since TLC is covered in fur from the hounds....

End of Rant..

I've made a couple of brief mentions, but I'm fighting the other guy's insurance now and they're wanting to total it, but first devalue it deeply and give me a handful of beans of which I can use to buy it back (with a salvaged title). If you feel you're getting jacked around, go to the state insurance commission. They regulate all insurance companies in SC and even mentioning you're going to speak with them will get the insurance company moving. I have a formal complaint with them now, hoping to have it resolved on Monday. Good luck.

Dang, guys, this really sucks! I have been fortunate not to have had a mess with insurance these last few years of my life. I have had quite a few bad dreams where I get in a fender bender and insurance offers me like $2K to total out a rig. The thought of it makes me mad and nervous. I know these trucks are all worth more than their blue book value. Beyond that, there is a lot of sentimental value in a rig you have spent years building.

Ben, I hope you come out on top.

Tim, it's been a rough month for you, too, man. Here's hoping next month will be much better!

Looks like the Cruiser is back on the selling market.... or I might just trade it in for new car. Just cant afford to keep it as a lawn ornament..

Don't trade it! Post up some pics & details....I know that folks are looking for 80's! Marshall at Trollhole's has people ask him regularly. Sorry to hear of the challenges.
