So,

I really enjoyed seeing everyone last Saturday, and wish we could do things like that more often. On the other hand, I know that unlike me, most of ya'll have your weekends planned out waaay in advance.

That said, is anyone free this Saturday? I've been doing pulled pork on my new fancy-shmancy smoker, and I'd be happy to start some fri. night for general consumption on sat. afternoon (at my place) if anyone's up for it.

Let me know if you'd be interested, and if it comes together, we'll do it.

I would love to :). I have a bday party in the evening tho. I am avail all day sat until evening.

Sunday is clear for as well.

Love to hang out :)

The whole fam is down for this weekend as well :grinpimp: I was hoping to get out a do some camping at some point, but your BBQ is so much better :grinpimp: Grill master Curtis in the house. What should we bring?

x2 on being availible during the day, but not the evening (after 6).

x2 on what to bring.

Hmm...

I guess I had been thinking late afternoon, like maybe 4pm till whenever, but it sounds like earlier is better, which is ok with me. (I'll just have to make sure the 'Q is done on time! :D)

So when then: 2 til 5 or 6? Start earlier/later?

Thoughts?

What should we bring?

Dutch oven peach cobbler?? :hmm: :D

If you're not up for it, that's cool, but it'd sure be fun to cook it over/under coals like you did up at Howard Prairie. We could put it either on a dirt patch in my yard or put the oven into on of my bigger grills. :)

Depends on how fancy we want to get and what direction we want to go in.

Basic (but freakin' tasty!) meal would be Southern style pulled pork sammiches on buns with cole slaw. That's all we *really* need. Other options: Green salad, macaroni salad, chips (or bread chunks) & dip...

Whatever you guys are/aren't up for is fine with me.

Ooooh, maybe I can talk my wife into making some German Potato salad....I've been dieing for that lately.

Best. Potato. Salad. Evar.

Perfect!

If G double can make it I'll try my hand a Marion berry, if not peach it is  And one of the other grills would give us a thermostat? That may be the best shot for consistent this time. :grinpimp:

Marionberry sounds awesome, actually. :bounce:

I've never tried making it but I've got a whole day and a half to figure it out :grinpimp:

Rock on! I doubt I can make it but hope to show up one of these times. What is the official time and are you in Ashland or Medford?

Im unfortunately out this weekend now. My work project got jacked up by other vendors not playing their part, pushing the work we can do through the weekend to open on time. :(

Sorry guys, I will have to join next time.

Thanks Curtis but we are out, still at home healing.

Off to the store soon to get meat, sauces, buns, and slaw.

All are welcome even if you haven't posted up yet, just bring whatever beverages you might want; we should be set for everything else.

Curtis

So it's Travis and family, and Gabe and Cherice? Remember all, drop ins are welcome as well. :)

8.5lb pork shoulder went on about 8 o'clock last night. Slow and smoky over night; cooker temp ~180F. Meat was at about 150F this morning. Kicked the cooker up to about 240F; believe it or not it'll still take most of the day to get the meat up to "pulling" temp., about 190F.

Hey; we never did set a time. How's 2-3ish, and eat around 4??

Lemme know, or just show up. :hillbilly:
