I had a lady that was bringing in a 1997 Green Turbo Supra 40th anniversary model that was all original and babied . I was in line (among many others) for when she decided to sell. She said: "Oh, I get that all the time but Ill never sell it". It was in good shape and driven carefully by this (late 30's maybe?) woman. The only thing was that the original dark green paint was fading a little on the hood and roof.
I called her when CBT had our Grand Opening a couple months ago and needed more "show cars" . She said she was offered something she couldnt resist - almost 25K! Sold that sucker - even though Id never pay that much for one.
I've look on craigslist just about every single day for supras. I've seen a couple of sweet deals and wishing I had the funds to jump on them at the time. Some day I'll get to that point where I can. It's been my dream car for a long time now... prolly since I first saw one. That was at a Precision Toyota in Tucson back in 1997 or 1998. Ideally, I would like a Black 1997 40th edition to match my cruiser. 6 speed, turbo of course.
