Damn...my club meeting attendance record hasn't been very good this year . Won't be able to make this one.

oooh I should be able to make this one! haven't been able to in forever....

Well I moved into my new house, and now I'm back working at Sportsmans Warehouse. Ive been busy the past two months getting ready, and then going out on my archery hunt. It seems like each time a meeting would come up I had something else in the way!

I haven't been out on any hard trails because I can't afford to break anything (like my driveline last trip I went on!) I just dont have the money to drop on expensive parts if I do damage something.

Oh, and Dove season just opened up, Dan! you been out out? I'm going out in the next hour....

Just got back from looking for Blue Grouse an hour ago. We saw a few on Tuesday, the opener, but I was always on the wrong side of the trees ; but my buddy shot two so we had a nice meal the other night. Seems to be lighter #'s this year; and IMO there are way too many hawks picking them off. I saw one 3/4 eaten carcass that appeared to be a bird predator kill and another pile of feathers in another spot. We've seen more hawks than ever before. Figuring they might pick one or two off a week (or more) it doesn't take long to thin the population down :frown:.

Part of the hunt we did find a trail off of Garson I wasn't aware of before. Takes you within 3-air miles of Mt. Rose Highway!!! Super scenic too! I'll have to lead a little day trip in there; unless you've been in there you'd be amazed at the scenery!

Good luck with your hunts!

Sorry guys, I thought was going to be able to make this one, but unfortunately, I have to head back to Winnemucca Tuesday evening. Hopefully I can make the next one.

I look forward to the minutes.

Just got back from camping out by Woodfords.
What was the decision on Fordyce?
I've got a butt load of stuff to take care of before the run.
