All,
I have done some research on this topic but the information I have seen is a bit confusing or contradictory. With a dual battery setup….I have the 24v starter system, both batteries linked in series for start and then in parallel for normal operation. Costco has a great deal on Interstate group 27 and group 27F batteries….just one issue which is the CCA rating for each battery. The 27 has 810 CCA and the 27F has 750 CCA. Can I get batteries with different CCA ratings? Some say yes no worries, others say no, must be the same as the batteries will charge/discharge differently possibly causing issues. Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't take the chance.
Batteries aren't $5 disposable items IMO

My experience with 24 volt start hdj81 was one battery would rapidly drag the other down and into a double failure once there was an imbalance.
Replacing two batteries at a time gets old fast

Ok, I will look around for same batteries in 27 and 27F. Thanks for the info.

Agree with this, one of the main reasons I'm now 12V start.
