So I did a search first without many answers so now I’m asking here. I’m hearing Optima batteries are no longer being made well and are having many problems. Do you guys know if this is true? Experience? I’ve had red tops in the past and they were great, but I’m seeing many bad reports online. What are you guys using out there? I’m about to set up dual batteries and I’m going to buy two new ones. Don’t want to make a bad choice. I see a lot of people using odyssey but cca is very low and I’m also seeing maybe their quality has fell too. Any opinions would be appreciated

I'm running a Yellow Top blem from Interstate store in Mauldin, probably 6 years old. Been an awesome battery, but I'm probably living on borrowed time, so very interested as well.

I have had a YellowTop in my 40 for about 4 years, a YellowTop in my 80 for 5 years, and I just got a RedTop for my 100. The 80 has no measurable current draw, but I have to trickle charge the battery pretty regularly. The battery in the 40 has never died.

My last experience with red tops and yellow were great. Just reading a lot online about a large dip in quality, longevity, and general performance. Hope more will chime in tomorrow

I'm all Interstate!!

Costco here, which is Interstate. I think that only a very few battery manufacturers actually exist and they just label them for different lines.

I have a X2 a rebranded north star from batteries plus it hasn't let me down has a 5 year warranty. I'd get it again
