Batteries off Offerup

So I was in the market for a group 31 battery. And was looking at the Odyessey extreme as that seems pretty popular with the SLEE and SDHQ builds.

There seems to be a lot of them on websites like offerup and they are priced at 150-200

And being suspicious of these types of prices wondering why?

Some look like they’ve been used. But others look new. Wondering if they are leftover stock that have been on the shelf and “expired”.

Since they go 500 new seems weird to be so cheap. Wondering if I can just use a 12v battery load tester to see if it’s in good shape…

Shelf life on these batteries is extraordinary as long as they were properly stored, charged, and/or maintained..… and that is the big question. The next big question is how many cycles have they run through?
