I had the opportunity to switch my Bajarack EXP for Bajaracks utility rack version.

The ute version is completely flat and has proprietary mounts that mount to the factory blind nuts. The fairing also angles down below the rack now.

First impression is Holy S**t is it ever quiet!

My old setup with AO load bars with the rack on top would howl and whistle like crazy.

With this new one I can actually drive with the sunroof open again.

Anyway, no real point to this thread I was just so impressed i had to share. I'll see if I can get some pics up tomorrow.

Is that another BIOR bumper? I don't think i've seen that one before...

Yes it is! If I ever sell my TJM..I'll get the BIOR bumper, I like the fact that mike allows you to add components and change the design based on your preference. There have been a lot of BIOR front bumpers lately!

Utility Rack Price?

Looks like bajarack.com is updating their website. Hope this means the new 100 series products and prices.

Ya same one Joel had in DV and the same one on the white cruiser in the pic above.

Price was just over $700. Other nice thing about the rack is it is really light but solid. Not as solid as an ARB but I decided my rack didn't need to be as solid as an ARB. Those things are pigs. I can lift the bajarack on the truck by myself and once boltd down it's sturdy. Ditching the load bars dropped the whole setup about 3/4" as well. Very low profile now.

I'd say the only thing I'm not overly impressed with is the powdercoating. I had my last bajarack recoated locally for $100 an I'll probably do the same with this one.

If they get that sorted out these are one hell of a deal.

Woooord.

I'm back in Manhattan and had to leave the truck out in Oregon for a few months. I haven't been on Mud because I didn't want to get truck hunger again. Now I'm sitting in the office in Soho starting to map out plans to stick an LED light bar on that wind deflector.

I found this old thread and I figured I'd just add to it instead of creating my own. Been getting a few request for some pictures my my BajaRack Utility flat rack so here they are.

Haven't had the chance to actually load stuff on it yet, but I went up there to mount the fuel can holder and it felt very stable with me walking and sitting on it.

Hmm, I thought if I had a star, I could add more than 3 pictures at a time?

Thanks. I've been waiting for an email from Sergio since before cruise Moab. I am patient. Better for my pockets. When he emails me I will order it. Let's see how long I can wait before I get the itch to call him first.

Oh no. I am just waiting for a response back to my email. I have no idea what the time is from ordering to delivery. I don't like to badger people. He's probably still catching up from Moab.

It took about 3 weeks from when I ordered it for them to make it and ship it from Ensenada to their San Diego warehouse, where I just went and picked it up myself.
