Planning a trip to Baja.

Concept :
Interstate run to and from NC to border crossing. As fast and as safe as possible.
Once in Baja head South down the East cost of Baja on the bay side.
Drive from one beach camp site then chill, surf, drink, eat fish tacos then do it again at another location a day or two later. Get as far south as we can. Then head back to the border. Then hard run back to NC.

Tentative dates 17dec17 -7jan18.

Vehicle: 07 f250
Looking for a codriver
In order to enjoy more days in Baja i would like to do driving shifts to and from Cali. I can provide more details for those interested.

I am trying to get a few more trucks to link up with. But have no issues with doing the run with only one vehicle.

Figured I would post it up here to see if someone is interested. I know most folks plan vacations way in advance but in my line of work I am not able to do that so I am seeing if there is anybody that is interested.

I spent the last few years not able to take leave because I was overseas so I got plenty of leave days saved. And there is no guarantee that I will be able to take leave for rubithon so I have to take it while I can get it.

Amazing time of year to do it IMHO also. I hope I’m not stating the obvious but you won’t find much of a swell from the Sea of Cortez side, plenty of sea kayaking, SUP boarding but nothing more than you’d see the sound side of OBX. Not trying to harsh your buzz, just plan on fishing off a kayak or SUP. Any reasonable surf spots are on the Pacific side, typically point breaks but that all depends on the direction of the latest weather rolling through.

Yet, I’m talking off experience from 40 years ago and living with groms who did annual trips “back in the day” when you could without much fear of being robbed except by the local policia. Take loads of pics, should be an epic adventure...

You are correct jerry. I am planning to bring my SUP. I don’t surf. And we will certainly hit up some spots on the pacific side.
