Bad Gas Cap Seal (1 Viewer)

I have an 06 4Runner with 4.7. I'm tired of the dash looking like a Christmas tree every now and then. Maybe I'm tired of unhooking the battery. Is it just a cap replacement? Is it the same part as a GX470?

Don't mean to be dense. But are you asking if it could be the gas cap causing the CEL to come on (yes it could be) or something else. Have you checked the code with an OBD scanner?

Yes. I apologize for not explaining more. The OBD code is gas cap.

So not sure if it's the same cap as the lexus but if you replace it make sure it's OEM. Aftermarket caps just don't work

I bought a cap from the dealer when I got that code - I think the part was for a 4Runner.
