That is cool that you made it without any issues. Jim is a great guy.

Can anyone confirm a 23.8 gallon gas tank?
We’re getting 14mpg???

Utah!
Getting gas in Salt Lake.

Trying to make it to Grand Junction tonight.
If you’re there and want to be on the emergency phone roster, PM me your number 😀

I think my tank is right around 20 gallons, but SOR lists 4 different fuel tanks for '68 to '80 Pigs...

14 MPG sounds believable! When I checked I had 15, 16 and even a 18 MPG tankful...

Looks like River likes his naps!

Do you think that is a factory location for seat belt on the B pillar? My shoulder belt mounts way up high in the roof line, about mid-way down the rear door opening...

Not sure? Not stock belts.

Looks like that leak is under the body? Not under the distributor?

I had just moved it when I saw the puddle. Got o ring at dealership today and orders OEM plugs/wires/cap stuff from Kurt

The most I ever put in was 17.5 gallons because I was ready for a break from driving!

It seemed to get 14+ even hauling ass through mountains. Pretty good I though.

Great follow up.

Talk me out of some 33/34x9.5 TSLs.....

33x10.5 KM3s would be the smarter choice, but, well, I’m not smarter...

It’s the 21st century and just about every tire choice would be better than a TSL on a street driven vehicle, especially on a vehicle with 50 year old steering geometry.

I agree the old school tall skinny tire looks right on a pig but I put a lot of hard fast highway miles on my pig getting to the trails and I needed a tire that’s comfortable to drive on both.

I have driven and worked on a tractor at my granddads farm when I was a kid, so I had the general idea of how the 55 is.
My 55 doesn't drive like a tractor and yours doesn't need to either unless that's what you want then TSL's would be a step in the right direction.

Any modern tire will ride and drive better than TSL's

Guess I’ll get some Km3s
The 255/85R16 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 has a diameter of 33.1", a width of 10", mounts on a 16" rim
