Backup Camera for 24v HJ61 (1 Viewer)

Trying to install 12 volt backup camera on my 24v HJ61. Will have the camera directly wired to reverse tail light so goes on when vehicle is put in reverse. Does anyone know what type of 24v to 12v step-down converter should be used in the wiring at the rear tail light? There are many types available with different different input and output amps. Pioneer radio head unit is already running off large fan cooled 24v to 12v converter.

You could run it off the main converter via a relay and the reverse sensor on the gearbox. Camera can't use much power a little baby converter in the rear quarter would work and be easier.

Quick google search pulled up a bunch of inexpensive converter options.

Sent too quick sorry..I’d get a 5 amp fuse one, like said before, those need very little power. Good luck!

Would I run the wire fuse on the 24v input side or 12v output side of small converter ?

The one I saw had a fuse is built into it
