So MoJ & WFD, is the truck running? Did the front axle service go as planned?

Sorry I goofed and couldn't be there longer. I really didn't add anything you guys didn't already know. I hope everything turned out well (and not too late).

Everything turned out fine as far as I can tell. I took it for a short drive and didn't notice any issues. It was all pretty straight forward. About 13 hours for both sides not counting Crown and Diet Coke breaks. I think we could do it in about half that now. Add another 3 hours for cleaning up my garage and tools the next day.

Although the mud directions call for it, there was no mention of INCH-lbs in my '94 FSM when setting the wheel bearing pre-load. FSM says something along the lines of "torque to 40-something FOOT-lbs, spin right/left 3x, torque to 40-something FOOT-lbs, loosen until you can turn by hand, measure with fish scale.

Hopefully we got the wheel bearings right. We had trouble seeing consistent measurements out of the fish scale pulls but all were within the spec range.

Marlin sells a really nice pull scale. Pretty cheap too if I remember....
