been eying that thing. Trying to decide for entry level, do i go ahead and pull the trigger on a pretty hopped up Losi comp crawler, or throw down the coin for that guy?

*lurker busted* :D

bwaha.... thats a 62 page thread of drooling and waiting and their still a month out.

If your not wanting to wrench and modify I'd get the Losi, even a stock night crawler. TJ's kids have put them through their paces and nothing has broke. The suspension setup looks just like that axial MOA's or at least the lower links. He hasnt touched his losis yet and well you've seen the R/C garage here.

I've got the LCC...it's impressive...

and expensive...

brushless motor, dig setups, busted CVD's and worms...I was literally on my 3rd 'care package' from Losi before I was thru my first battery pack

upgraded to chromo worms last week, and shredded the dig servo AND the idler gear within minutes...both are now on order...

The XR10 looks pretty amazing...but give it 6 months for the bugs to wear thru first...

i know this is a crazy line of thinking, but i also kind of want to stick with something with drive shafts. These things are soo much like real rock buggies that its kind of cool to pretend you are a kid and have this mini rock buggy. I don't plan on doing comps with it, just have it for fun and take on camping trips to play with at camp ect... So i think i may avoid MOA right now.

I keep seeing jfz80 having issues with his Axial which is what is pushing me away from them.

And Jfz80... GO TO WORK!! :hillbilly:

From my very limited experience with them -

Axial = jeep - easy to build, common, huge range of capabilities, cheap to buy and cheap to fix, huge aftermarket and knowledge database.

Losi = Rover - expensive to buy new, cheap to buy used, hard to break in and hard to keep running although they do have their fans. Kinda exotic bits, but those parts can be finicky.

Berg = Comp buggy. Nothing about it is street worthy. Built for one thing. Does not resemble a road going vehicle at all. Parts are expensive, but very durable. Lots of stuff is custom made or DIY mods.

Traxxis = Full size domestic trucks. Common. good for what they do, but really have no place on the rocks. Too big. Wrong power range. They can do some things because of their wheelbase and power, but not fun to wheel with one of the above. Good to blast around at full throttle on open ground.
