Auto-Lock Doesn't Work - 2001 GXR Land Cruiser (1 Viewer)

I just unlocked my car remotely using the key for 10 seconds, got in, got out, pressed the lock button on the key only to hear it lock, followed by a faint locking sound.

I tried unlocking it remotely, but I get the faint sound again, which sounds as if the locking mechanism is attempting to do something without anything happening. I unlocked the driver seat manually using the key, put the key n the ignition, but I still can't unlock or lock the doors from the buttons in the door.

It can't be the key battery, because the internal car buttons don't work. I don't think it's the car battery because the car turns on fine.

I'll be selling the car soon, so I really hope it's nothing serious.

Any help would be appreciated.

First, apologies for posting this in the wrong forum. I didn't understand the model classifications.

It seems that the back and tailgate door sometimes do respond to the remote unlocking, and sometimes don't.

It seems to be fine now. I have not driven it since my last post.

Should I be concerned that this may become a recurring issue?
