hello guys this will be my first meeting i called bret and he suggested i get on here and introduce myself i have my first 94 landcruiser 80 . ive always wanted one so im pumped anyways when is the meeting and what time ?

Welcome,
We now meet at 0900 on Saturday Mornings at Panera Bread at 1604 & Blanco.
As far as moving it, I say we vote. It doesn't matter to me.....
You guys that can make this Saturday get to make the call on whether or not to postpone a week. It's never going to be perfect for everyone so do it when it's good for you. If I miss this one I'll make the next.

Saturdays were basically a "test drive" to see if we could improve attendance. Most of the people that said they would come on Saturday's haven't shown up for one meeting so I guess it doesn't really matter. The regulars should vote on what is acceptable and go from there, imho.

From what I've heard the attendance hasn't been anything to write home about. We use to come to the meetings, but haven't been able to make a single one since it got moved to Saturday's. I guess we should stop going on vacation every weekend.
Oh well.

Call it a social, make a thread and vote on it for a month and have it wherever it's voted on, kind of like you used to. Some people might be turned off by the whole "meeting" thing being new to the group. A "social" they might be willing to attend where they can meet other members and show off their rigs.........not such a formal sounding event. Just my .02 cents. Plus I can be a member now since the buggy did use to be a Toyota!
Honestly it is pretty much the same as it ever was. For me the weekend mornings work best but no solution works for all of the peeps all of the time.
I love meeting Saturday mornings and I thought the turnout was pretty good. My issue is my schedule is three Saturdays on and three off. So I'll miss every other meeting until that changes (which may be soon). I'd like to keep the Saturday socials but of course I'll follow the majority.
My comment was not intended to have been taken seriously. If the meetings are to be on the first weekend of the month they should stay the first weekend of the month. Same goes if the meetings move back to a weekday.
