august long weekend? or labour day?

hey guys, i know i'm knew to the group and will def be at the next meeting, but i thought i'd suggest a trip to cabin lake for one of the upcoming long weekends as i've been dying to go there but i'm too chicken sh*t to drive in alone with the girlfriend, until i've atleast driven the road once myself.


just thought i'd put it out their and see what u guys think,
thanks again and hopefully i'll be on the next trip and/or see you next meeting

I too would like to do Cabin Lake. We usually go to Whipsaw for August long, but with the Chilko Lake run a lot of members will be gone. We did discuss going to Whipsaw on Labour day weekend, so maybe Cabin August long. Of course, the problem I have is my torque converter is shot and I plan to fix that problem (and a few other things) the week leading up to August long. Could be touch and go as to whether I'd be good to go. The truck will be definitely be ready for Labour day.
Let's see what kind of feedback this gets.

id be down for cabin lake...but preferrably in late aug/labour day weekend. aug long is only 3 days off for me, and would like to do at least 2 nights if not 3. whipsaw in aug might be a bit too buggy/dusty. im taking the last 2+ weeks off of aug into labour day so id be good for anytime in that span.
 
i'm in for cabin lake on labour day weekend! let me know, i'd like to go in on the boston bar side and leave on the merritt side, maybe discuss it at the next meeting
