August HAMOM? 1FZE Head Gasket

Gasket and head went on! WHEW! that 29ft.lbs and then two 90 degree turns can wear a mutha out...
Got the head, cover and all the exhaust side on... the longest thing was getting that head tightened down... everything fell into place from there... even the cams were easy and Tom knows his junk when it comes to that so we were cooking! We knocked out alot last night, Matthew, David, Tom, Jordan and myself.


All left to button up is the intake, some hoses and the misc. stuff of the EGR and crap... I get enough help tonight and it might be ready for turn key...

I will own another 3FE someday, those dang things are so much easier to deal with than this finicky cross between new school meets old school...

I think i will read up more on deleting the EGR system off this and hopefully tackle it soon, but for now it stays cause i don't know enough about it... plus this junk has other issues that have taken a back seat to the HG job... uh like the fact the MasterCylinder has a slow leak into the brake booster.... "yeah, you thought it was rain".

legitimitally around 6 probably... that's what time the folks have been leaving the plant so i head over around 5:30 and get setup and such...

Everything is together and cranking, getting fire, fuel, air but it is not starting. We are suspecting the Dizzy is off by a tooth, but in one attempt to realign it, nothing happened.
I'll try tonight. After last night being there so late i doubt my friends will like me anymore.

Jeebus, I forgot to tell ya'll that Caleb and I went out on Friday night and got the dang thing running... it was 180 degrees out, DOH!

Runs nice. Now just to do a maintenance flush of the oil and coolant again...
