Aug Midweek Kids Trucks Camping

Before we know it summer will have come and gone. I wanna book some time out.

Anyone have any midweek time off in Aug and are interested in a 2-3 night local getaway with the kids and your truck? Batting around ideas like one night Hale, one night Silver Creek, one night Sunrise routine. Something that would give plenty of water/play/explore time, coupled with r&r for the adults at camp, and some truck time.

Want mid week to stay away from the hoards.

Something like Aug 10-11-12 or Aug 24-25-26

Open to additional ideas, changes.

If some others are going with older kids, I might be able to convince mine (13-17) to go. Wife is gone to Mexico then. The ealier Aug dates would likely work for me.

Clayton is 14, and he will likely have a buddy. Not sure about the 17 year old.

The later August dates might be OK for me. The earlier dates, I'm definitely out of town. Will depend on how my work schedule unfolds later in August.

id be in for some midweek camping. wife works weekends mostly, so we're planning most of our outings for wed-fri, before the riff-raff show up. my kids are a bit younger though...14mos, 4 & 6 year olds. we're probably doing a 2 week trip to nelson at the end of aug though...so anytime between now n then could work.
