I am trying to determine the specs. for an AU 100 series and figure it might help others in the future.

My reason, I am using an AU spec. 2005-2006 ecu for a 2uz with manual h151f transmission. I have to use a US spec. engine harness and need to delete what I don't need.

I used partsouq to determine my ecu was a drive by wire unit.

I asked a supplier in AU and they told me that AU did not get the vvti engines, so my ecu would be for the non-vvti engine.

I am trying to determine what or if they have emissions there and if they have o2 sensors. I could not find the sensors listed in the different catogories of partsouq, so I am not sure. Any help here would be appreciated.

I did not find a part listing for catalytic converters either. Do they come on AU spec. 100s?

Any help is appreciated.

There must be some Austrailian members with some of these answers.

Hey Tank,

Not sure what it is you need exactly but there is a CDROM with all the dealer services manuals complete on ebay. For AU models. It is posted in mail though .

I intend on getting this in the future for sure. $9.95 is a bargain.

Yes, there were O2 sensors on the '05 year (2UZ). The early years did not.

Hi Tank5,

I am a happy Australian owner of an LC100 with a 1HD-FTE turbodiesel 6-cylinders-in-line engine, so I am out of my depth when it comes to the 2UZ-FE petrol (gasoline) V8 engines.

Others may be able to report with better knowledge and experience.

Meanwhile, looking through the Press Kits and Media Releases by Toyota Australia, I don’t see any mention of VVT-i until the LC200 was released in Australia in November 2007. The following links tell the story:

Pressroom - Toyota - Press Kit Details

The new LandCruiser 200 Series, which goes on sale next month (November 2007), also offers a second V8 option - an improved 4.7-litre petrol engine.

It gains the power and fuel economy advantages of Toyota's variable valve timing with intelligence, and a higher compression ratio.

Maximum power rises to more than 200kW - also with lower fuel use.

2UZ-FE Toyota engine

It is much the same story with Lexus LX470:

Pressroom - Lexus - Press Kit Details

I don’t see any mention of VVT-i until the Lexus LX570 was released in March 2008:

Pressroom - Lexus - Press Kit Details

Lexus LX 570's new 5.7-litre all-alloy Quad-Cam V8 engine employs dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i).

The 3UR-FE engine achieves its gains in performance and fuel economy over the superseded 4.7-litre engine through a combination of its advanced design features, including a one-litre increase in capacity and the adoption of variable valve timing technology for the first time on Lexus LX.

The Press Kits at the above Toyota and Lexus links may give more information in the sections called "Major Technical Information" but I don't think I see any more relevant detail.

Hi Tank 5,

The information at https://lc100e.github.io/manual/ as identified by Moridinbg is very useful but it does take a while to get used to how it works.

Here is a trail which might help ….

[Late edit: Incorrect para deleted].

If it is relevant, at this time and until the LC200 was released in Australia in November 2007, the Landcruiser version of the 2UZ-FE engine was not VVT-i.

Australia is Right Hand Drive, so no point looking at anything which is Left Hand Drive, except where systems and parts are common to both.

According to Toyota, around 10% of all Landcruisers ever produced (all models, all years, all configurations) were sold in Australia, much of the Landcruiser development was done in Australia and so Australia has its own Model Designations which in recent times all end in the letter “Q”. Sometimes specifications are unique to Australia – except where specifications are common to other parts of the world.

Anyway, to start, pick your correct model year and go from there.

For example ….

Start at at the Menu Block on the Left Hand Side of http://lc100e.github.io/manual/ :

New Car Features (2004.8 - ) - if this includes the correct year?

then go down to

MAJOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

then,

This document can be searched for “H151F” Transmission for “Australia”

This is found in MAJOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS under New Car Features (2004.8 - ) at “Page 79” at “line 50” under Model Designation UZJ100R-GNMNKQ for Australia,

“M” is 5 Speed Manual, Floor;

“Q” is the designation for “Australia”;

See “MODEL CODE” for the meaning of other letters.

Further down on in the Left Hand Menu block, find

Repair Manual,

then go down to

Manual Transmission (H151F), and also Manual Transmission (R151F)

These sections contain some diagrams which may be of assistance

Then go to

Electrical Wiring Diagrams

then go down to

OVERALL ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM [RHD]

then to

Engine Control

then

2UZ-FE (2004.8) – if this includes the correct year?

This section contains wiring diagrams designated “Australia” as well as other parts of the world which may be of assistance. An example is shown in the screenshot below.

Other sections of http://lc100e.github.io/manual/ work in a similar way.

There were indeed 2UZ-FE prior to Oct 2002, albeit auto transmission only... which would defeat the whole purpose of this exercise. LX470's were also only available with the 2UZ.....

Example:
Thank you Hoser for spotting this error. My apologies for my mistake, my misreading of past Toyota Australia Press Kits and Media Releases and my lousy memory! The incorrect para in my previous post has been removed. The post also has been amended to recognise that Tank5 was looking for AU spec. 2005-2006 ….:censor:
