Anyone ever heard of this swap? Looked at an 87 Astro at Pick N Pull and it looks like a winner. If not an Astro ?????? How about one of the early 90's toyota mini vans?

A Toyota minitruck is a good replacement for a Cruiser Booster.. do a search in the 40 section.. Most Toyota stuff is swapable...

Sorry about the lack of info. I'm swapping a 5.0 into my 71 40. Would like to upgrade the MC for a 4 wheel disc setup. Looking for input as to what others have tried rather than jump off blind. Hell I had to rebuild my cross member after seeing your post Isotel. My existing booster and MC work but am looking to upgrade to 1990+ equipment. I have seen other setups in the tech section and a search on the 40 page yields more questions than answers. I guess by now I should now the answer to these types of questions. Anything is possible with our modified rigs.

If your current booster and master are fine, keep them.. if not put on a Minitruck Booster.. they work great for 4 wheel disk with some minor mods.

Now if your planning on running 1-ton Axles you may want to consider somthing bigger..
