Good Afternoon,
I am reaching out for guidance regarding an issue I am experiencing with the navigation head unit in my 2005 LC 100. The display powers off a few minutes after starting the vehicle, although it initially boots up normally with the Toyota image and disclaimer.
I have observed that after a short period, the display goes black, affecting the digital clock and outdoor temperature readout. While the A/C remains operational, I am unable to control it. The digital clock intermittently turns off and on, and occasionally the display will reboot, only to shut off again.
I have already checked the connections on the back of the display unit, which appear satisfactory. Additionally, the illumination of the center dash, power to the cigarette lighters, radio control buttons, rear fan button, rear defroster and side view mirror heaters remain unaffected.
Here are two pictures showing the center console once it has gone black and when the digital clock intermittently appears.
I would greatly appreciate any advice or direction regarding this issue. I have read that AC amplifiers and gateway modules may need replacement, but I seek to pinpoint the exact cause before proceeding. I am hands-on and willing to troubleshoot further with your assistance.
Thank you for your time and support.
