I have sold the slee bumper off the 100.

The challenge now is shipping. Forward air can do it however the shipment needs to be palletized.

Does anyone out there in ONSC have experience with this? I really appreciate the assistance and insights.

X2 ^^^^

Or take it to a terminal and they can palletize and wrap for a charge. Or some can. Southeastern freight did for me years ago

I have a pallet you can have Andrew.

I've done this a few times. Strap the s*** to a pallet with some cheap ratchet straps from HF or whatever, and send it off via fastenal or trucking company. Wrap it with bubble wrap if you need to.

Ok, I over rotated. The guys at Forward Air said they had skids and could attach the items once I get there.

Thank you for the insights.

Fastenal is having issues with it being 75 inches long and working on a quote.

Pallet, metal zip ties and a half a roll of Saran Wrap. Just needs to not fall off in minor tipping. Doesn’t have to be able to be inverted and still attached. :)

i've heard of people shipping them grey hound before but I have no experience with it.

i tried to slap an interoffice envelop to send to our other offices for free when i sold stuff on our work "cragislist". I was called and told in no uncertain terms that the item has to fit INSIDE the manilla envelop and just taping it to a set of rims does not suffice.

Greyhound has the 100 lb limit which I believe the rear bumper exceeds. That would be ideal.

cut it in half and send welding instructions with it ;)

good to know about greyhound

Years ago I bought a ARB front bumper for my 40 from a guy in Wyoming. Had it shipped through greyhound and it was stupid cheap all things considered. No pallet needed, just wrapped in shrink wrap and I picked it up st the g-boro terminal a few days later. The sketchiness of a greyhound terminal is a whole nother subject though.

You should see durhams... took a train once to DC, i felt like i was in a prison the way they had it fenced, train and greyhound share the same "terminal"

I could only imagine! My wife and I took a trip out West in 2011. Flew to Billings Montana to pick up a rental RV. Got off the plane, took a cab to our Hotel for the night which had great reviews. Dropped our bags in the room and took a walk downtown for some dinner. My feet had been on the ground in Montana for literally 30 minutes when I had to square off in the middle of a street with a meth head that was about to try and grab my wife’s purse. After the meth head and I finally went out separate ways I realized we were right across the street from a greyhound terminal.

I seem to recall no parkIng at terminal and a really long walk downtown with an ARB lol

Amtrak stations at 3am have a similar feel. The one in Greensboro a day or two before Xmas was about the most depressing sight. Glad I was able to walk in and escort my two 70+ year old European parents through or them and their big bag of presents may have never been seen again...
