Getting ready to do a bulb upgrade, noticed this today. Is this normal? Both sides are the same, if you can't tell, the lens (?) over the bulb is brown, looks like it is discolored. Thoughts? Thanks, here are pics.

Mine are more what I would call "yellowed" than brown.

Hmm...anyone replaced these covers and or bulbs? Same bulb as headlight?

Pretty sure the only way your going to replace those is with new headlight lens assemblies.

Honestly they aren't that expensive when you start comparing them to the cost of say newer plastic lenses from other manufacturers, add the fact they are glass and they are quite the value!

For the price of one CRV headlight on my wifes vehicle I can get both LC units.

The PO had to replace the pass side lens, see how new it looks...
The drivers side of original with over 400K in it.

I will be replacing both eventually wth new turn signal lenses.

The UV from the sun fades/discolors the plastic.
It is seperate from the bulb.
That bulb is just a peanut bulb, I replaced mine with LED, it does not put out enough like to say so, more of a parking light.

How did you remove them? Do you have to take the headlight assembly apart?

Interested in this, more info! What size bulb is it Spike?

Yep. Bake the headlamps in the oven, pop em apart and then be sure to seal them back up with something. I can't remember what I used....
