Ive been slighlty confused lately. When I use my old LC my 2012 OEM stock housing HID lights with upgraded OSRAM CBi bulbs and ballasts do no light up the the night like my buddies 2014 land cruiser....I have noted that my lenses are frosted and his are clear.....Am I missing something here. I have switched the bulbs and ballasts and still not as nice as his.

Well ... the lenses on the low beam HID's on my 2013 LC200 are definitely clear:

Yes, I can see through my clear lens.

When you replaced your headlight assemblies, were the lenses clear then? Were the replacement assemblies new or used? Is it possible the weather seals have been compromised?

Are his headlights US spec like yours? I remember seeing a thread where you said you retrofitted US spec 2013 headlights.

Here's a photo of my 2013 Europe spec bixenon headlight. The projector lens is rippled

@gaijin
I think you are a 100% right...I installed 55watt morimoto ballasts and CBi bulbs....The difference was incredible when I first installed.....What I failed to do was weather seal the bulb projector assembly.....Oh well new project for the weekend. Open up the headlights. Wife is going to hate me....."wtf is the headlight doing in my oven"

@gaijin I finally found the culprit. Unplugged and uninstalled everything. Opened up the headlights, diassembled the projectors....The chrome interior was burnt....Which affected light output....Funny it took about 500 bucks in random upgrades (new ballasts, new bulbs, clear lenses, upgraded wiring) to finally open up the lights and find the source of the problem....Just ordered a set of E55 hella projectors....Going to be a bitch to retrofit....

Were you using 55 watt ballasts? Those produce more heat and cause the projector reflector bowls to get burnt.

I believe the Koito RX350 bixenon projectors are plug and play. That may be a better option

--EDIT: I just saw your earlier post saying that you have 55 watt Morimoto ballasts
