I just clicked buy on the full ironman kit for my 99 100. 2.5", diff drop, medium springs, rear trailing arms, foam cell pro shocks. I'm on 33's right now and plan on possibly going to 34's or 35's in the future. I was looking at SPC upper control arms. Are they needed for 2.5" lift? Everything is pretty old and tired in the suspension right now. At a minimim I gotta do ball joints, bushings, tie rod ends.

Needed, not really. Optional, yes. But if the UCA hasn’t been replaced with original front and rear bushings that may be tired and loose and ball joints are of the same condition, the popular decision is to replace it with brand new aftermarket ones for practicality reasons.
