It’s the way I am leaning as well but I have my reservations due to how the bar work is attached/constructed. That and they don’t seem too keen on making/offering them.
It’s that or TJM but I really prefer the weight savings and style of the Dissent. I‘ve been fortunate to never hit a deer in all my years living amongst them. I did ask Dissent about it through the online chat and they said the steel bar would most likely warp the aluminum if I did hit a decent sized deer.

That’s what I feared as well. I guess there’s the clarification. Do they even still offer the 16+ TJM? I know Slee no longer has it listed on their site. Some hate on TJM but I had one on my 80 and I liked it.

I am not aware if 16+ TJM is available or not. The Dissent is a great everyday bumper for me as most of my road trips are during the daylight reducing the risk of deer strikes and the weight increase shouldn’t be a noticeable hindrance on curvy roads or stoping distance. Also, its gotta be better then having nothing :steer:🦌

It's still my top pick as well. The new Slee bumper is a very nice option as well and in stock at the moment so no wait but I am not sure that the "Blueberry" style bumper works as well on the 200 as it does on the 100. I am also struggling to understand why it costs $1200 more than the 100 Series version.

I'm just not a fan of the bull bar look. I'll take my chances with a deer strike, come spring I'll install the Rhino bumper and winch I've currently got sitting in my basement

Following. I've been wanting to invest in the ARB before I hit a deer here in Pennsylvania. Biggest challenge at the moment will be convincing the wife.

The reason for the extra expensive is the complications in mounting to the 200 series with all the associated parts required. The 100 is a single piece bumper that slips onto the frame rails. Not so with the 200 as can be seen from the attached image. The additional parts all add up in terms of manufacturing, coatings, hardware etc.

I was hoping you'd respond haha. Thanks for the clarification.

I never hit an animal with my ARB bumper in 30 years but it still was an important part of my cruiser regardless of potential animal strikes. Originally I got it because I wanted a winch and way back then there wasn’t any bumper that could mount a heavy duty winch (on a FJ60) except the ARB.
So I imported an ARB bumper, (they weren’t available in the USA back then) got my WARN winch and then gawked at the monstrosity I had bolted to the front of my cruiser.
Yeah - a few friends thought it was ridiculous back then but I gotta say that that bumper was so convenient for so many things when camping. It has so many uses besides hitting kangaroos and holding a winch.

Eventually, 20 years later I got rid of the winch because I never used it anymore and it was so freaking heavy…. but the ARB bumper? No way was I going to part with that.
