I can't seem to find where to buy these.

Is anyone else making these for a 62. I would like to have sliders with the front protection to tie into my ARB front bumper.

Please let me know where I can pick one up.

Thanks

A lot of MUD supporting vendors are ARB dealers.

Poser is a ARB dealer in Farminton MN. Bull is an ARB dealer in the Seatle area. PM either one of them and see if what you want is available. If it is not available then contact 2badfj's here on MUD or go to the vendor section and look up SROR. He can make it for you.

coolin82 had a set on his truck at the Cruiser Crawl. They are NOT the same as sliders. They work great as steps, but they don't run under the rocker panel, only beside it.

Best bet would be to buy sliders, then make the front piece to tie into them. We could probably get heckler to make you some when he moves back to town. He made a set for his that look just like the ARBs.

Good steps, not sliders

Just as FJ60Cam said they are great steps but would not function as sliders. I wish that I would have done as he suggested and have custom sliders made with added front protection. None the less, the ones I have came from TPI they are made by a company in FL with the exact same design as the discontinued ARB step side/rail combos. The company in FL told me that TPI acquired permission from ARB to make copies of the step sides so they would still be available.
They still look good on the wagons even without the rocker panel protection. You would still be better off with real sliders, I will now need to have some made to go under these perhaps. Ideas?

It wouldn't be too hard to convert into actual sliders. You could even buy some Solid-Rock Offroad sliders and just weld some small pieces of tube between the slider and the tubing.

The steps themselves seemed tough enough. I think you could just weld a bar/pipe between the two support legs right under the rocker and you'd have a simple solution. Maybe add another support leg to the frame.

Didn't stop you from running Box of Possums!

I regretfully stayed clear of the rougher sections on that trail due to the lack of sliders. I do not want to wait a whole year to get back to box-o-possums and follow you and Cam's line.

i thought i heard the side rails i am going to call them were discontinued when they came out with the new designed front bumper. or maybe they just dont make them for my 80 anymore. i cant remember anymore i am i have to many and just confussed myself.:D

Those look good! As well as appear very functional. Is ther anyway you could post some more pics so that I can borrow the design? Thank you in advance.
