ARB Lockers re-wiring

I've used a factory rear lockers switch to control my ARB air rear locker. obviously both the pump and the actuator are activate at the same time, with the single switch. I just turn it on until i hear the pump has filled the reservoir, then turn it off/on again to let the actuator lock the diff. Is that bad? Also I wonder if the factory diff switch is rated to take the current drawn by both devices at once ?

The OEM switch is design to switch the OEM ECU, however I have pulled one apart and it appears ample. The solenoid draws only .5 amps anyway, your compressor is switched via a relay(should be) as it draws 20 amps approx.

Just wire the solenoid to the +V side of the pump, there is a slight delay between the compressor getting up to pressure and the locker engaging. In general if I'm in a position where I need a front locker I want to take a second and think things through anyway.

It works fine, I was a tad worried about electronic noise from the compressor feeding back to the ECU through the switch but it hasn't been an issue.
