So I am looking at front bumpers. Love the new offering from CBI and was about to pull the trigger on it.

Then, practicality kicked in, for use around town (with all the horrid drivers in Dallas and for animal strikes), I am thinking ARB may offer more protection but still improve the approach angle, at least over stock. Little less radical or more subdued, at least in my opinion.

I am hard pressed to see much of a difference between the Deluxe and the Summit bumpers at least in the pictures. Maybe I am not noticing subtle changes.

Can anyone explain the difference to me?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been explained before.

Pictures of the difference would be great.

It must be something new they're adding. It looks like it's potentially a little cheaper, less metal, maybe, but I'm no expert.

If you pull up the vehicle application guide for 08+ LC200 on their site, "Deluxe" bumper is the category for all front bumpers, with the different options being Summit, Sahara, and Winch bar.

According to ARB catalog (pdf on website) the Summit bumper is for 2016+

The fog light and side marker are updated for the Summit model. The access to winch looks to be updated too. Looks more modern than the old deluxe IMO.

The wings (headlight area) looks more angled on the Summit. IIRC these are not interchangeable between the two generation 200s. The Sahara bumper model does not have the hoops.

I have a 08-15 Sahara for sale: link

Deluxe original is flatter across tge front, and the Summit sweeps back and up to compliment the much smaller, higher headkights ob tge 16+.

Also, thr Summit has larger tubei g diameter, closer to the tubing of my TJM T13, which was always quite a bit larger.

The Sahara actually has a hoop that is optional, but is only decorative...not i tended for protection. Bull bard on the Summit and Deluxe provide real protection. Sahara...no. I had a Sahara bar on my 100, and the hoop was definitely NOT critter-strije worthy.

Did you consider TJM bull bar? I don’t think the ARB offer that

Have you compared clearance differences of the TJM vs ARB in Bull bar form? I believe simply based on pictures of the newer TJM, it might beat the ARB at least in how much the bar sticks out? I’m leaning towards the TJM for my 200. Was considering the Rhino but I have a lot of deer around me and the Rhino won’t do much to protect the radiator.

I think the TJM and Summit have 63mm OD tubes.

I called ARB and the person I spoke to stated that it was styling update to reflect the front end changes on the current model as well as the differences noted above. He assured me the crash worthiness and the protection was the same as it was on prior models.
